Saktibrata Sen, a frontrunner for Room to Read India's literacy and girls' education programs, brings 15+ years of intensive expertise in program management, implementation, and evidence-based advocacy & lobbying. From developing literacy skills and reading habits among children to supporting girls to finish secondary school and working with government stakeholders to advocate for girls' education, Saktibrata designs quality-oriented and scalable programs.
Saktibrata is a dedicated development professional focused on early literacy, teacher professional development, and text creation for children. Saktibrata's exemplary work in Indian scripts and languages and passion for bringing children's literature into the classroom make him stand out among the program leaders in the education and development sector.
Saktibrata, an alumnus of Presidency College, Kolkata, completed his post-graduation in contemporary History. Saktibrata's experience of working with Pratham equipped him to facilitate two-dimensional dialogue between knowledge-creators and implementation partners and enable thought leadership for Room to Read India.
