India Gets Reading - Room to Read India’s annual flagship annual campaign that promotes and celebrates children’s connection with reading turns seven this year. The campaign brings together children, families, schools, and communities to highlight the joy, purpose and pride that reading brings into children’s lives. The 2025 campaign theme — “My book, my story”, focuses on making space for every child to see themselves in stories. It highlights the importance of children finding their language, identity and everyday experiences reflected in the books they read. The theme also emphasizes shared reading spaces between children, caregivers and teachers, where stories become a common ground for empathy, expression and joyful learning.
